Analysis
The updated England squad looks very strong on paper. The batting lineup is deep and well-balanced, with a mix of experience and youth. The all-rounder department is also very strong, with Stokes, Curran, and Ali providing both batting and bowling depth. Wood and Woakes, two of the best bowlers in the world, lead the bowling attack. Rashid, Topley, and Willey, who are all capable of taking wickets, support them.
One potential concern is Joe Root’s form. He has struggled in recent months, and it is unclear whether he will be able to find his form in time for the World Cup. However, the team management has plenty of options if Root does not perform.
